Our Privacy Commitment to You

We recognize, respect, and protect the personal privacy rights of all our customers. We realize that our customers entrust us with personal information and it is our policy to maintain our customers' information in a confidential manner. We are committed to providing the highest level of security and privacy regarding the collection and use of our customers' personal information, as well as personal information of all consumers who visit our banks and our website.

DEFINITIONS

WE WILL USE CERTAIN TERMS IN THIS NOTICE THAT ARE DEFINED AS FOLLOWS:

WE, OUR, and US: This will always mean FCB Banks.
YOU and YOUR: This means our customers with whom we have a continuing relationship through one or more accounts, and also consumers who may use a service we provide (such as an ATM) without any real account relationship or someone who may have applied for a loan but was declined.
PUBLICLY AVAILABLE INFORMATION: Information that is lawfully available to the general public from official public records (such as real estate records or securities filings), information from widely distributed media (such as telephone books, television, radio, or newspaper) or information that is required to be disclosed to the general public by Federal, State or Local law (such as securities filings).
NON-PUBLIC PERSONAL INFORMATION: Personally identifiable financial information that is not available from public sources (as described above).
AFFILIATE: Any company under common control with another company.
NON-AFFLIATED THIRD PARTY: Any person(s) or corporate entity(ies) that is not an affiliate or is not a joint employee of a financial institution and a third party.
CONSUMER REPORTING AGENCY: A person or business which makes a practice of collecting and evaluating consumer credit information for the purpose of furnishing consumer reports to third parties.

Confidentiality and Security of Nonpublic Personal Information
We restrict access to nonpublic personal information about you to those employees who need to know that information to provide products or services to you. We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with federal standards to guard your nonpublic personal information. In addition, your online information is kept confidential through submission of encrypted email request sent to FCB’s secure administration site. All FCB Online account applications are submitted to FCB’s secure administration site through an encrypted direct line to the bank.

Nonpublic Personal Information We Collect 
We collect nonpublic personal information about you from the following sources:

  • Information we receive from you on applications or other forms, such as, “your name, social security number, assets, and income”.
  • Information about your transactions with us, our affiliates, or others, such as, “ your account balance, payment history, parties to transactions, and credit card usage”.
  • Information we receive from a consumer reporting agency, such as, “your creditworthiness and credit history”.
  • Information we receive from you on applications or other forms.
  • Information about your transactions with us, our affiliates, or others.

Nonpublic Personal Information We Disclose
We may disclose all of the information we collect, as described above, to a Securities Firm with whom we have a joint marketing agreement.

We do not disclose nor do we reserve the right to disclose, any nonpublic personal information about our customers or former customers to anyone, except to nonaffiliated third parties as permitted by law.

Notify Us of Inaccurate Information We Report To Consumer Reporting Agencies
Please notify us if we report any inaccurate information about your account(s) to a consumer reporting agency. We Are Committed To You And Your Privacy

Above this letter you will find, "FCB's Privacy Policy."  This policy expresses our ongoing commitment to protect your personal information.  We are diligent about sharing this information with you annually as required by current law.

In addition to your privacy, fraud protection is a priority at FCB Banks.  Therefore, we would like to remind you to NEVER RESPOND to any phone or email requests to VERIFY or PROVIDE any personal information such as account numbers, PIN numbers and/or Social Security Numbers.  Perpetrators of fraud may pose as employees of fraudulent companies or misrepresent themselves as officials of banks.  This is known as "Phishing".  Some "Phishers" are trying to scam consumers by telling them that their personal information is already listed on the internet and it needs to be deleted to avoid fraud; they then ask you to "verify" information for them.  DO NOT RESPOND TO THESE REQUESTS.  If you receive a phone call of e-mail of this nature, call your bank immediately.

To further protect you, FCB Banks has partnered  with MasterCard to implement a system to monitor debit card activity on your account that could be "suspicious".  This may include multiple transactions on the same day or high-dollar purchases.  This activity is reviewed by our Electronic Operations Department and, on occasion, we may call to verify that recent debit card purchases have been authorized by you.

In 2009, FCB has committed to offer the best "E" products and services to our customers.  This includes our new "Freedom Checking" account which provides unlimited ATM rebates.  This enables FCB customers to use any ATM anywhere in the U.S. surcharge FREE.  For our Business customers, we now offer "Deposit Express".  This service provides the convenience of making a deposit from your workplace without a trip to the bank.  FCB implemented "Mobile Banking" to allow customers to bank anywhere at anytime.  This gives customers access to their accounts from their cell phone.  If you are ready to go green with FCB, E-statements are available with all accounts, simply sign up at www.fcbbanks.com.  One more way to stay in touch, join FCB Banks on Facebook!
